The Gangnam Blues star does not want to compete with one of Hollywood's leading men.
Lee Min Ho won't be starring alongside Brad Pitt or Chinese actors Fan Bingbing and Zhang Hanwei in the upcoming film Raid. Rumors were swirling through Chinese media that the hot stars would all act in the production about China’s People’s Liberation Army and the United States Air Force during World War II. Recently, Lee's agency told the media the rumors simply aren't true.
“We did receive a proposal awhile ago, and it’s already been examined [and turned down]," they said.
"Many Chinese proposals have been received, but the next project has not been decided. He is currently reviewing film and television offers.”
Raid will be based on a true story. The movie, which has already received $100 million in investments, is expected to pay tribute to the 70th anniversary of World War II.
Personally, I would love to see South Korea's hot leading man co-star with a Hollywood icon. They could probably teach each other a lot about their respective countries and about being heartthrobs in different eras.
Will you miss the Lee-Pitt collaboration?
